  • How BW Papersystems’ Maximo Leyva turned market feedback into the FlexPro

    In 2024, BW Papersystems released the highly successful FlexPro Flexo Folder Gluer, a machine that feeds flat sheets of corrugated board and automatically prints, scores, slots, folds, and glues them to produce finished boxes. As VP of Product Development for BWP’s Finishing Line, it was Maximo Leyva’s job to make sure the product was developed in alignment with both market and customer needs.

  • Machine Solutions’ Vergil Sorg leads game changing machine shop improvements

    Continuous improvement comes naturally to Vergil Sorg, who leads a team of 18 skilled machinists in Machine Solutions’ Flagstaff, AZ (US) facility. A machinist turned manufacturing engineer turned machine shop leader, Vergil spearheaded an initiative that overhauled the way his team works—from machining a large variety of parts that were fairly easy to produce to focusing primarily on a proprietary part that is central to Machine Solutions’ overall success—creating significant cost and time savings year over year.
